About the Book

Stuck in Yesterday: Visionary Practices for Building a Purposeful Future

By Gustavo Monje

Stuck in Yesterday is a transformative guide for readers who feel held back by past mistakes, trauma, or seasons of lost direction, and who are open to the wisdom of Yoga or Indigenous spirituality. Acknowledging the struggle of regret and the difficulty of stepping into a new future, the book offers a compassionate, grounded path toward clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Drawing from yoga philosophy, doctoral research in Indigenous wellness practices, coaching principles, and the author’s lived experience, Stuck in Yesterday guides readers in the creation of a Higher Purpose Codex, a six‐part framework that helps readers through uncovering their higher purpose, naming core values, identifying a vision seed, defining principles of success, engaging in visionary practices, and developing a visionary action plan. Each code becomes part of a living personal manifesto that grows and evolves with the reader.

More than a self‑help book, Stuck in Yesterday is a spiritual guide for those emerging from difficult chapters, highlighting the inner landscape with clarity, compassion, and direction. Rooted in visionary practices such as meditation, reframing the stories we tell about ourselves, asserting one’s archetypal identity, going on pilgrimages, developing kinship with an animal or biome guide, the book offers pathways for transformation that honor both spirit and self. It empowers readers to realign with their authentic purpose, reconnect with their inner compass, and move from inner understanding to outer belonging, fostering deeper connection to themselves, to others, and to the world they inhabit.

Stuck in Yesterday will be released on April 11, 2026 and will be available on Amazon and the author's website.
